In brief: Industrial production drops slightly in Brazil

* Brazil’s national statistics department has announced that industrial production decreased by 0.1% in November 2022 compared with the previous month, but was up 0.9% in year-on-year terms. Compared with the previous month, production fell for extractive industries (-1.5%), IT and electronic equipment (-6.5%), textile products (-5.4%), and non-metallic mining products (-1.2%). However, production increased in categories including food (+3.2%), vehicles (+4.4%), drinks (+10.3%), and metallurgy (+3.1%).
