MEXICO: Working to patch up US-Mexico relations

There has been a flurry of meetings and phone calls between US and Mexican officials in recent days as both sides attempt to defuse ongoing tensions over security matters, while also defending their respective security strategies. Mexico’s Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard travelled to Washington on 13 March, while US Homeland Security Advisor Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall and a delegation of US lawmakers have visited Mexico in the past week.
