* Brazil’s ministry of development, industry, and foreign trade has released the latest balance of trade figures, which put the value of exports in March at US$33.1bn – the highest figure on record for the month, and a 7.5% increase on the export value in March 2022. Imports in March totalled US$22bn, down 3.1% year-on-year. This resulted in a monthly trade surplus of US$10.96bn, representing a 37.7% increase on March 2022.
