MEXICO: Record exports suggest nearshoring progress

Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) on 27 April published its most recent trade figures, which show that the country recorded a trade surplus of US$1.17bn in March 2023, compared to a surplus of US$104m in March 2022. This was largely the result of record export levels.
