GUATEMALA: Protests intensify over demands for election result to be respected
On 5 October thousands of people across Guatemala marched on a fourth day of a national strike organised by supporters of president-elect Bernardo Arévalo, calling for the 20 August presidential run-off election to be respected and attorney general (AG) María Consuelo Porras and her colleagues to resign.
