* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has announced that 118,038 light vehicles were sold in the domestic market in September, representing a 35.6% increase in yearly terms. In the first nine months of 2023, 975,841 light vehicles were sold in Mexico, up from 781,061 in the same period of 2022, while a total of 2.85m light vehicles were produced in that period, up from 2.51m last year. According to Inegi, 301,341 light vehicles were exported in September, up from 287,845 in August and 259,792 in September 2022, contributing to a total of 2.42m units exported in the first nine months of the year, up 14.2% compared to 2022.
