In brief: Industrial production falls in Colombia

* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has released new figures for its industrial production index, which fell by 2.8% in September compared with the same month last year. This was due to a 6.9% fall in industrial manufacturing, which was partially offset by increases in water collection, treatment and distribution (+1.2%), electricity and gas provision (+6.0%), and mining and quarrying (+6.4%).
