MEXICO | Foreign tourism surges. Some 2.94m international tourists visited Mexico in September, a 6.1% increase year-on-year, according to figures announced by Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) on 10 November. According to Tourism Minister Miguel Torruco, this brings the total number of international tourists to have entered Mexico in the first nine months of 2023 to 30.87m, up 12.1% on the same period in 2022.
