MEXICO | Inflation on the up. Monthly inflation in December stood at 0.71%, with the annualised rate reaching 4.66%, Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) reported on 9 January. Annualised inflation has edged up in the last two months after nine consecutive months of decline led to yearly inflation reaching its lowest rate since February 2021 in October, standing at 4.26%.
