COLOMBIA: Sarabia remains tight-lipped after resignation

To the disappointment of the political opposition, Laura Sarabia has not lifted the curtain on the tensions and controversies in President Gustavo Petro’s government after she stood down as foreign minister on 7 July. That will be a major relief to Petro, given suspicions that Sarabia, formerly one of his closest allies, holds incriminating information on the financing of Petro’s 2022 election campaign and on corruption in the disaster risk management unit (UNGRD) [WR-25-06].
