CHILE: Police officer absolved in emblematic Estallido Social case
On 13 January the fourth oral criminal court in Chile’s capital Santiago absolved a former police officer who had been accused of shooting and blinding a protester during the 2019-2020 social unrest known as the ‘Estallido Social’.
