MEXICO: Rift with Cuba ended at Guadalajara

The interruption of ambassadorial relations between Mexico and Cuba did not last long. On 28 May, on the sidelines of the EU-Latin American summit at Guadalajara, Cuban foreign minister Felipe Pérez Roque announced that both sides had agreed to send their ambassadors back to their posts, and that his Mexican peer, Luis Ernesto Derbez, had said he wished to visit Cuba.
