A week on from the 30 September arrest of Bolivia’s attorney general Roger Mariaca (2024-2026) for alleged narco-corruption, aftershocks continue to ripple through the judicial and political establishment. Police are still hunting for former interior minister Eduardo del Castillo (2020-2025), who along with Mariaca was named in a leaked police interview with suspected Uruguayan drug lord Sebastián Marset.
