CHILE: Bank bombing linked to pardon bill debate

A string of bombings in various parts of Chile since the beginning of June has unsettled a country that had grown used to the virtual absence of political violence. Only in two incidents, however, is there any hint of a connection - the delayed debate of a law granting a pardon to 30 prisoners convicted under the antiterrorism law of the Pinochet era.
