NICARAGUA: Plot seen behind revival of FSLN-PLC entente

As the Sandinistas have revived their old compact with the Partido Liberal Constitucionalista (PLC) to share out posts in the judiciary, their leader, Daniel Ortega, has launched political initiatives which he portrays as designed to make Nicaraguan democracy more accountable and austere. Government officials talk of a Sandinista-PLC plot to shorten the President's term.
