Debt: back to the brink again
On 19 November, Ecuador published a report on
whether the foreign debt contracted between 1976 and 2006 was “legitimate." The
report from the Comisión para la Auditoría Integral del Crédito Público
Ecuatoriano (Caic), predictably, found that very little of the debt was
legitimate.
