BRAZIL: Lula prepares to re-jig his cabinet

President Lula da Silva has begun the negotiating process which will lead to a cabinet reshuffle likely to be announced before he travels to Davos on 22 January to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF). His Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT), while politely urging him not to forget his initial 'base' of allies, has formally left the constitution of the new cabinet up to him.
