VENEZUELA: Washington happier as Russian rifles deal is signed

Now that Venezuela has actually bought the 100,000 Russian AK-103 rifles, the US government has decided they no longer merit as much concern as before, following the provision of 'details' of the operation by the Venezuelan defence minister. Washington's only 'regret' is not knowing what will happen to the rifles that are being replaced. The new pronouncements from both sides are harder to decode than those which preceded them.
