CUBA: Dissident congress held in Havana
Dissidents Martha Beatriz Roque, Félix Bonne and René Gómez Manzano pulled off the feat of staging what they called the 'First Democratic Congress' [WR-05-19] in Havana on 21-22 May, despite some attempts by the government to hinder them as well as a boycott by several leading dissident organisations.
