COLOMBIA: Inflation falling, but still high

Inflation in December came in at almost twice the rate local economists had expected, at 0.49%. This brought the rate for the whole of 2007 to 5.69%. This is outside the government's target of a rate of between 3.5% and 4.5%, and the highest rate since 2003.
