MEXICO | Weak industrial growth strengthens slowdown forecast. The latest industrial production figures appear to confirm the expectation of a slowdown shared by the central bank and many private economists [WR-05-31]. In the first half of the year industrial output in the broadest sense was only 1.4% higher than in the same period of 2004, with growth of 3% in construction, 1.2% in manufacturing and 0.8% in mining.
