US defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld arrives in Bogotá today for talks with President Alvaro Uribe and new US ambassador William Wood. Rumsfeld will receive protection from 13,000 members of Colombia's security forces during his daylong visit. The Colombian army contains 136,000 people.
