ARGENTINA: Kirchner gears up for 2007
President Néstor Kirchner has already begun to prepare for a reelection bid in 2007. The first step, somewhat obscured by the resignation of Economy Minister Roberto Lavagna [WR-05-47], was the launch of an initiative named
'Compromiso K' (Commitment K, the letter, of course, standing for Kirchner), billed as a 'political space' for people of all political persuasions to rally behind the president's 'project'.
