Congress unanimously approved the creation of an investigative commission
on 13 March to carry out a detailed study of the Casas del Alba offices in Peru.
A congressional press statement spelt out that the commission would be empowered
to investigate the formation, function, organisation and financing of the
offices "supposedly linked to the Venezuelan government". It will have
90 days to pull together the report. Venezuela's ambassador to Peru, Armando
