MEXICO-US: Tangled web of US crossborder activities

The Mexican government has filed requests for the extradition from the US of six US nationals for acquiring weapons with the intent of smuggling them into Mexico. It has still to react to the revelation that a former attorney general, Eduardo Medina Mora, had known about US intentions to allow ‘controlled’ armed sales in order to follow them into Mexico, or to a report in the US media that the use of Mexican undercover informants by US agencies has been expanding.
