ECUADOR: Correa to the rescue of over-indebted households
Ecuadoreans are over-indebted and the executive will do all it can to avoid that an imbalance in the economy leads to a crisis in the medium term. That is how President Rafael Correa and his minister coordinator of political economy, Jeannette Sánchez, explained the series of measures passed by the national assembly, at the behest of the executive, in May.
