MEXICO | Televisa accepts CFC conditions. On 18 June Mexico’s leading TV broadcaster, Televisa, announced that it had accepted the conditions set by Mexico’s anti-trust body, the federal competition commission (CFC), that will allow it to purchase a 50% stake in mobile phone services provider, Iusacell. The deal has been carefully scrutinised by the authorities given that Iusacell is owned by magnate Ricardo Salinas Pliego, whose Grupo Salinas also owns Mexico’s second largest TV broadcaster, TV Azteca.
