BOLIVIA: Morales picks new fight with the media

With press freedom in the region a hot topic given Ecuador’s decision to grant asylum to the founder of the whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, President Evo Morales has chosen a curious time to start a fresh row with the media. Morales, who in the past has dubbed the media his biggest opposition, just like Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa, invoked a controversial 2010 law against racism and “all forms of discrimination” against three media outlets.
