The birth of Peru’s aviation industry. This is how production minister Gladys Triveño described a US$208m accord just signed by Peru and South Korea for 20 KT-1P trainer and light attack aircraft. Crucially 16 of these will be built in Lima and Pisco with South Korean technology transfer. This accord is the latest example of burgeoning relations between Andean countries and South Korea.
