ARGENTINA: Losing friends and alienating people

In the latest move to antagonise its neighbours, the Argentine government has given the Chilean airline LAN 10 days to vacate its hanger at Buenos Aires’ Aeroparque Metropolitano Jorge Newbery airport. The airline and leading Chilean politicians have strongly protested the decision; the Chilean government has expressed its concern. The foreign minister, Alfredo Moreno, will raise the issue at a pre-scheduled meeting with his Argentine counterpart, Héctor Timerman, in Santiago on Friday.
