On 12 November Argentina’s Supreme Court ordered the national government to take “urgent measures” to intensify the fight against drug-trafficking gangs operating in the northern provinces of Jujuy, Salta and Tucumán. The court's unusual intervention, released in a press statement, was signed by all seven members of Argentina's highest judicial authority.
