BOLIVIA: New executive onslaught against the judiciary

Bolivia's institutional crisis is plumbing new depths as the executive and the legislature come together to dismantle what is left of the upper echelons of the judiciary. As impeachment proceedings begin in congress against the suspended president of the supreme court, the executive has announced that accusations will be filed against seven supreme court justices. In both cases, the magistrates are being faulted for not bowing to the will of the executive.
