* The economy ministry (SE) has announced that representatives from the Mexican and Argentine governments held a third round of negotiations on the updating and deepening of their existing bilateral trade agreement in Mexico City. The SE statement said that both sides are satisfied by the progress made in the negotiations, in which they have identified areas in which they are interested in further liberalising bilateral trade, and discussed a proposal to change rules-of-origin regulations, as well as intellectual property regulations. Noting that the two sides have agreed to hold a fourth round of negotiations in November, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the SE statement said that both countries hope to conclude the negotiations in the “short-term”.
