take for his national development project to be fully implemented - and then
“only if we move fast". For now his self-proclaimed “citizens' revolution" has
merely scratched the surface of its objectives, he said. Correa made no
reference to how long he personally intended to remain at the helm to oversee
the planned changes. But his professed determination to deepen his revolution to
the point that it cannot be reversed suggests at least one re-election,
especially as he claimed it would take eight to 10 years just to put the country
