Medicine supply contracts part of Mexico’s growing healthcare crisis

Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has vowed to crack down on corruption throughout government, and one of his targets is the healthcare system. However, a recent move to change the way that medicines used by the public healthcare sector are bought has angered Mexican pharmaceutical companies, as well as sparked criticism that the new policy is affecting the standard of public healthcare.
