Taking part in the vaccine race

As the world is racing to find a vaccine against the coronavirus (Covid-19), a number of immunological firms are turning to Brazil as a test site. If there is one positive to be found in the severity of Brazil’s uncontrolled Covid-19 outbreak, it is that it makes the country a reliable place to trial a vaccine candidate, as well as potential treatments to the disease – thus giving it a strategic advantage in gaining access to a vaccine once a successful candidate is found.
