BRAZIL: Inflation adds to volatile outlook

Political tensions and fiscal uncertainty make for a volatile outlook in Brazil, where the recovery from the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is pushing up prices, forcing the country’s central bank (BCB) to step up monetary tightening in a bid to keep inflation under control.
