Argentina’s President Alberto Fernández and Vice President Cristina Fernández are making new efforts to show a united front ahead of the mid-term congressional elections on 14 November. Since the ruling Frente de Todos (FdT) coalition suffered a big setback in the primary elections on 12 September they have met only once – a tense affair two days later, when the vice president presented her list of demands and required cabinet changes, most of which the president ended up reluctantly accepting.
