ECONOMY: Slowing down

The flash GDP growth figure for May, the Indicador Global de Actividad Económica, came in at 2.9%, year-on-year, indicating that the economy is slowing. In 2006 growth was 4.8% and the government was hoping for 3.3% growth in 2007. We are still forecasting 2.5% growth.
