BRAZIL: Gov’t responds to indigenous Yanomami health crisis

On 24 January, Brazil’s health ministry announced that over 1,000 Yanomami indigenous people had received emergency medical attention as part of efforts to ease the “humanitarian crisis” that allegedly led to hundreds of deaths from malnutrition and disease in the community.
