In brief: Inflation rises in Colombia

* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has published the latest consumer price index, showing that in January monthly inflation stood at 1.78% and annual inflation at 13.25%. This represented an increase on December, when monthly inflation was 1.26% and annual inflation was 13.12%. Dane predominantly attributed the latest increase to monthly price rises for transport (+3.98%) and food and non-alcoholic drinks (+2.46%).
