ARGENTINA: Macri drops presidential ambitions
Argentina’s former right-of-centre president Mauricio Macri (2015-2019) formally announced on 26 March that he will not be a candidate in this October’s presidential elections, in effect narrowing the field in the opposition Juntos por el Cambio (JxC) coalition and increasing pressure on the ruling left-of-centre Frente de Todos (FdT) to do likewise.
