MEXICO: Major shakeup of PRD leadership

The Mexico City corruption scandals may not have yet erased the lead enjoyed by mayor Andrés Manuel López Obrador, of the leftist Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD) in the presidential stakes, but it has already made a considerable impact on his party. Last week its national council announced that it will be replacing 17 of the 21 members of the national committee.
