ARGENTINA: Workers held hostage by Peronist power struggle

Transformation and survival. Those are the crucial abilities that any politician belonging to Argentina’s Partido Justicialista (PJ, Peronist) must master from the moment they enter the party, which has suffered changes over the past 60 years enabling it to have presidents from the Right and the Left, including its founder, General Juan Domingo Perón who once defined the party’s all-encompassing nature by saying “Everyone is a Peronist”.
